Easy Homemade Bacon Waffles
  • 4-5 slices of chopped , cooked bacon (I used Center Cut)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp . baking power
  • 1/2 tsp . baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp . salt
  • 1.5 T granulated white sugar
  • 1 cup of 2% milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 T melted butter
  • 1 tsp . vanilla extract
Optional toppings
  • Butter
  • Maple Syrup
  1. Heat a waffle iron and spray with non-stick cooking spray
  2. In a medium mixing bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, sugar, egg and vanilla extract
  4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and whisk together until mixture is smooth
  5. Whisk in melted butter
  6. Mix in chopped bacon pieces
  7. When the waffle iron is ready, add the mixture to the iron and cook until the waffle iron beeps (depending on what kind you have)
  8. Serve waffles immediately topped with butter and maple syrup.

These bacon waffles can also be frozen and reheated in the microwave or toaster
